Description of “The Blue Ladder” “The Blue Ladder” is full of layers of old posters, which I have found on the streets. I love that they bring texture to my work as well as their own stories, which I then partly cover with paint, crayon, and gold leaf. These layers fascinate me, and my hope is that they will make the viewer curious about what lies beneath. The ladder has been in my paintings since 2010. Description of “Golden Clouds” “Golden Cloud” is like “The Blue Ladder” a mixed media artwork on wooden panel.
